Over the last year, I had the honor of being the senior photographer for many 2021 graduates. Although the last year and half had their share of challenges, this group of seniors has shown tremendous resiliency, strength, character, humility, and joy. I’m continually impressed by our next generation of leaders. I feel extremely blessed to be a high school counselor and photographer. This gives me the opportunity to have two jobs I love, but also the opportunity to better connect with many seniors throughout Hamilton County (and beyond).

I wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU for asking me to be your photographer. It’s been a blast working with you. For all of you, I’m looking forward to seeing where you go and what you do in the future.

If you are looking for a photographer, please keep my in mind. I’m currently scheduling 2022 sessions, so please contact me soon if you are interested in booking a senior session. You can also follow along with updates on Instagram at @kapplegate44.

I really enjoyed my engagement session with Allison and Jordan! I was Allison’s high school counselor and am so excited to reconnect with her through wedding photography. I’m extremely proud of her and I’m happy that she found an amazing guy like Jordan. Looking forward to their wedding later this year.

2020 has been a year we will never forget. Although we faced many challenges, I have renewed hope that the future will be stronger than ever.

Thank you to my old and new clients who have asked me to be their photographer this year. I was blessed to connect with many new people (and now friends) through photography this year.

I was especially impressed with many of the people who successfully navigated the various challenges of 2020 in planning their weddings. Because of Covid-19, many of the couples I worked with had to reschedule weddings, continually change wedding day plans, and deal with a host of other challenges. Each wedding during 2020 was truly amazing and special. I’m grateful that each of these couples asked me to be their wedding photographer.

Finally, I hope you are all doing well! Truthfully, being a photographer has helped me connect with so many incredible people throughout the years. I continually feel blessed by the friendships I have made over the last 10+ years as a photographer. Best of luck to you as you prepare for 2021 and beyond.

We had an amazing time photographing Alex and Amber’s wedding at the Mill Top in Noblesville. I can’t say enough nice things about this couple and their friends and families. They were also lucky enough to get perfect weather and beautiful light on their wedding day. Honored to be their wedding photographer!

Kevin and Gabi’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. After a week of rain, wind, and cold weather, they were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. It’s been an insanely busy fall and I will be posting more photos soon from their wedding day. I also enjoyed shooting another wedding at the Palomino Ballroom in Zionsville. Excellent venue.

I end every wedding day feeling extremely tired but more than anything, I always feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the opportunity to capture one of the most important days in the lives of the bride, groom, and the their family and friends. This day could not have been more special. I was also Gabi’s high school counselor and have known Gabi and her family for many years. I’ve been tremendously impressed with Kevin and think this couple has a very bright future ahead of them.

Ian and Lydia’s wedding day turned out to be perfect. Although they had to push their reception to the fall (due to Covid-19), their wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. First, God gave them a perfect weather day. Secondly, they had their family and a few friends in attendance. Third, their attitude towards half their day wedding day being cancelled/postponed couldn’t have been more positive. I came away from the wedding feeling so impressed and encouraged by Lydia and Ian and the people in attendance.

This was another day where I felt beyond blessed to be a wedding photographer in capturing a special moment between my new friends Lydia and Ian. Best wishes to you both! I look forward to taking photos at your wedding reception in the fall.
