Incredible wedding day with Ian and Carrie. After getting married at the Scottish Rite and taking photos, they took a trolley to Carrie’s parents “camp” property in Indianapolis. They use the property for ministry and to serve the community and on this day it was the perfect setting for wedding reception. Although rain had been in the forecast the day before, it turned out to be a perfect day for an outdoor wedding reception. Amazing day with two awesome people. So happy for you both!

Carrie and Ian celebrated their wedding day with close to 600 people at The Scottish Rite Cathedral and a private property in Indianapolis (Carrie’s parents “camp” property). It was a phenomenal day in many ways! There was an unbelievable amount of work put into every aspect of the day (and everything turned out amazingly well). I’ve had the pleasure to know Ian and his family for most of his life and it has been a huge blessing to get to know Carrie better and serve as their wedding photographer.

They have dated since high school where they met in a science class and have been together since that time. Ian headed to IU and Carrie headed to Purdue for college.

I asked them to tell me about their proposal: “Ian took Carrie to dinner around Christmas like they always do. They stopped at the camp (where they are having the reception) and he took her on a walk in the woods. He had Christmas lights and candles lighting one of the bridges in the woods. He read scripture to her, talked about their relationship in High School and ultimately sweetly asked her to marry him. Their family was hiding inside the ministry house and surprised her with a little party. She was so surprised about this entire night. Lastly, they went downtown for dinner and called all their friends and family.”

This story is beautiful and is also an example of the value they place on the people in their life ( their family, friends, and people they have just met). I have no doubt that God has huge plans for these guys in the future.

I’m happy to introduce you all to Joel, a phenomenal senior at Fishers HS. Along with excelling at high school football and lacrosse, he is a serious student and leader too (in athletics, Cru, and in many other activities). I would describe him as both one of the hardest working kids I know and as a young many with outstanding character. He is another senior who serves as a tremendous role model for the many kids (and others) watching him in the local and extended community. I’ve been blessed to know him for many years.

Outside of his athletic aspirations, he hopes to attend the University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, or Indiana University for college.

He describes himself as a “Christian athlete who is passionate about all sorts of things.” I couldn’t agree more with this assessment.

The one thing you really don’t know about Joel? He’s kind of a geek. He loves Star Wars, comic books, superheroes (and movies), science fiction. If he could pick one super power, it would be supers speed.

I hope you get to know Joel because he’s an awesome kid with big things ahead. Best of luck to you this year Joel!

Trevor is a talented senior at Fishers High School who is outgoing, friendly, hard working, along with being heavily involved in athletics (football and baseball) and many other activities. He has big goals for the future, including hopefully attending the University of Cincinnati and majoring in business.

When I asked him what he does for fun, he told me “we usually just chill and occasionally go out on adventures. In describing his style, he told me that he dresses like a dad (I take this as a compliment because Trevor is a very sharp dresser and I happen to be a dad myself).

Aside, from his success in school and extra curricular activities, he is looking forward to getting a job marketing for a company, getting married and having three kids.

I loved getting to know him better and look forward to watching him do some big things in the future! Best of luck this year Trevor.
