I loved my senior session with Ali! She’s a recent graduate from FHS who is headed to Ball State to major in education. She is a kid I have been blessed to know for many years. She describes herself as “a down-to-earth, loving, sweet and sassy girl who loves to smile. I’m constantly laughing with my friends and family, and singing and dancing to my favorite country stations on the radio. ” From knowing her, I would completely agree with this assessment.

Over the years she has managed to keep herself busy with many things including the FHS Comedy Sportz team (which is basically competitive acting), and many other activities. She is passionate about acting and painting and also spending time with children. She served as a cadet teacher during her senior year in high school, where she spent her year helping a kindergarten classroom. She also spends time with kids by teaching swim lessons and working in the nursery in her church.

Some of her favorite things to do include bowling, bonfires, getting food, or anything where she is spending time with her family or friends. She values her family above everything and loves to spend time on her dad’s farm, driving her truck and listening to country music, or being in Kentucky with her entire family.

She’s always up for a scary movie, a Double Chocolatey Frappuccino and cake pop from Starbucks or a Gigi’s cupcake. Her most recent favorite song is “Can’t Sleep Without You” by Brett Young or “T-Shirt” by Thomas Rhett.

She is entertaining, kind, hilarious, and headed towards bright things in the future! Best of luck to you in the future and please keep in touch.

Chris and Katelyn met in a cell biology class during their undergraduate studies at Purdue University. They continued to date with Chris in medical school and Katelyn in veterinary school. Chris proposed while they took a walk by the Purdue bell tower. He tied the ring box to the collar of Katelyn’s labrador and let a friend release the dog to run to Katelyn. Awesome engagement story!

It’s been a pleasure to work with Katelyn and Chris through the entire process of planning to photographing their wedding day. They are two highly intelligent, hard working people who treat everyone around them extremely well. Very blessed to capture their day.

Also, we discovered The Barn at Hawk’s Point, which is a fantastic wedding venue!

Jessica and Cody were married on a beautiful, clear day in May. Their wedding and reception took place in Noblesville at Our Lady of Grace (OLG) and the Mill-Top.

There were another couple who we loved working with from our initial meeting through their wedding day and beyond. Again, one of my favorite parts of wedding photography is the opportunity to make awesome, new friends and then spend the most important day of their life capturing their wedding day through photography. We really felt like we were photographing a friend’s wedding. Everything came together… all of the details, logistics, people, and schedule for the day.

As always, the Mill-Top and staff were amazing to work with on their wedding day. This continues to be one of my favorite venues.

I loved meeting HSE Senior Avonlea (and her mom) and photographing her senior portraits on a very cold Saturday morning in May (the temps were in the low 40’s). Honestly, she was amazing. Very natural, laid back, kind hearted, fun personality, intelligent young lady, and I enjoyed spending time talking to her about her future plans. Talking to her about her goals, she said: “I hope to attend Ball State University in the fall, and eventually transfer to the University of Victoria. After college I plan on attending law school where I hope to study family law.” She also shared that she always enjoys a good book and cup of tea to relax. Finally, she is one of seven kids in her family… I’m hoping to meet the rest of her family someday because she and her mom were awesome. Best of luck to you Avonlea!

Tremendous senior session with Sylvia! She is a senior at Fishers High School, works at Earth Fare in Carmel, and is usually hanging out with her friends or painting in her free time. She told me: “Art is definitely the biggest part of me right now. It’s something I’m always striving to get better at and this year I created a 12-piece portfolio that I’m very pleased with. I’m attending IUPUI in the fall and I’m looking forward to attending the Herron school of art to further my art career.” Best of luck to you in your future endeavors!
