Loved my session with 2017 Senior Max. He excels in football and lacrosse but also takes his academics very seriously. He is hoping to attend University of Indianapolis or IU Kelley School of Business in college.

Although he is laid back, friendly, and easy going, his competitive side comes out big time when he is playing sports. Along with devoting a ton of time to athletics, he is involved in multiple clubs at school and also enjoys coaching younger kids as well.

When I asked what he likes to do, he told me: “My passion is enjoying life and keeping things as fun as possible. I enjoy learning more about the business world. I prefer to explore new places with friends. I hate scary movies and coffee.  I don’t like to just sit. I like to be moving if I am not sleeping.”

Max is another senior I’ve been blessed to know for several years. I’ve always been impressed with his focus, desire, character, hard work, and also in the way he treats everyone around him. He is a leader who connects with everybody he meets. He has big things ahead.

Finally he told me that while he couldn’t live without Kroger chocolate milk, life would be great if he never had to eat broccoli again.

If you have met Brooke, have probably been impressed with her upbeat and positive demeanor. She has a strong faith and is continually putting other people first. She is outgoing, spunky, bold, passionate, and caring. Very blessed to have known her for a couple of years!

At Fishers HS she is graduating a semester early to hopefully travel to Africa during 2nd semester for mission work.

What is she passionate about? She says “I love discipling younger high schoolers through Cru a christian club, I love to lead small groups through Itown and serve at that church.”

She works at an Ethiopian restaurant in Geist and spends a lot of time with her friends at Itown exploring fields, roofs, or anywhere to talk about our lives and where God has placed us. She is passionate about sharing Jesus’s love with her peers.

She love all types of music from Hillsong to The Grateful Dead.

Her future goals include travel to Africa and following where the Lord leads her.

So excited for your senior year Brooke!

It’s difficult to believe that our oldest turned 10 earlier this summer. We feel blessed every day that God picked her to join our family. She is a positive, upbeat, joyful kid with tons of energy. She is determined, hard working, and creative. To celebrate her 10-year-old birthday, we decided to do a “Ken is 10” photoshoot. I also had her fill out a quick questionnaire (below). Love this girl!

How would you describe yourself? I would describe myself as a competitive runner who loves to hang out with my friends and being in school.

Can you tell me about your activities? I run for Body In Training, which is a Christian club, and is one of the most amazing things that I have done in my life. They don’t care how you do in a race they only care that you have fun and do your best. We might care a little bit, but it is a super loving group of people and a competitive team!

What are your hobbies? Crafting, running, and… candy!

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My room or the trampoline.

Favorite music? Any song that Angie Miller sings or Hillsong.

One word that best describes your personality? Competitive (but encouraging).

One thing you could not live without? Itown church… going there and knowing Jesus has changed my life

Future goals? To serve at itown church, to get 1st 2nd or 3rd in Nationals for track, and read the whole bible.

What food would you be okay never eating again? SUSHI!

I am so happy that Emma is one of my reps for the Class of 2017! She is senior who is super involved in many things. She is multi-talented. Along with working at HotBox Pizza, participating in several school clubs, being very active with her church (iTown Church), and being involved in many other things, she is a leader who is very grounded and humble,

When I asked her about her interests and passions, she told me: “I love dancing, that is something I am passionate about along with music I love how music brings people together. I like to paint and draw. Anatomy and sciences definitely interest me. Anything about medical stuff I love. I like to act especially improv.”

Her style is alternative, which she describes as “kind of vague” [I love this answer]. She is active… loves to hang out with friends, go hiking, reading her bible, cooking, or anything else that sounds fun. Her word to describe herself: “Hoopla” [Awesome].

I love her passion for life and her faith too. She is another senior I have been blessed to get to know. Best of luck to you this year and in the future Emma!
